Alexandra Yepes

Alexandra Yepes has a bachelor´s degree in Direction and Production of Film and TV from Manuela Beltrán University in Bogota, an Executive Production Degree from EICTV in San Antonio de los Baños (Cuba) and a Master's Degree in Film Economics and New Technologies from the Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III University (France). In 2007 she co-founded the Audiovisual Laboratory “Chirimoya Films”, which she has developed several projects as a producer. In 2012 Alexandra is selected by the Berlin Film Festival to participate in the Berlinale Talent Campus.


She has produced the short films "SOMETHING FOR ME" and "WHEN THE RAIN RETURNS", the latter winner in the category of Short Film Production at the Fund for Film Development (FDC) of the Colombian Ministry of Culture and winner of more than a dozen awards at festivals in Colombia and abroad. In 2010 she produced and co-produced the feature film "JARDÍN DE AMAPOLAS", winner of the Fund for Film Development (FDC) in 2007 and the First Cut Award of Ventana Sur in 2011. It had its world premiere at Cartagena International Film Festival (FICCI) in 2012 and was established as one of the most outstanding national films in the Category Colombia at 100%. Critics also considered the film as one of the 10 best films released in Colombia in 2014 and was selected in several film festivals around the world.


She is the producer of the feature film project "INFAMIA" (Project in Development Stage) which won first place in the 2011 Screenplay Contest of the International University of Valencia - Spain. With this same project, she has participated in the International Market Business School (IMBS) 2011 held in the city of Sao Paulo (Brazil), in the Training & Network 2011 section of the Viña del Mar International Film Festival and was the winner of the grant sponsored by Cinefilia and Ibermedia for the International Executive Production Diploma, held in the city of Medellin (Colombia) in 2012. She is currently executing the production of the project "GREY CLOUDS BLOW ON THE GREEN FIELD", winner of the "Course for the development of Iberoamerican film projects" by Carolina Foundation and Ibermedia Program (2017), the "Producers Meeting" of Guadalajara Film Festival (FICG 2018) and the "Laboratory for the development of film projects" Bolivia Lab (2018). Likewise, she is co-producing the Bolivian fiction feature film "THE BELOW".


In addition, she works in partnership with Quilombo Films; a production company specialized in documentaries located in Paris, developing co-productions between Europe and Latin America.
